Connie’s Story

Connie Moody, CPA, spent nearly 40-years in the insurance industry, both on the carrier and regulator sides. While at the Ohio Department of Insurance she led the implementation of Teammate, an online staff training software. Connie has been the Chief Financial Examiner for Nevada and Indiana. During her tenure she took over and rescued five insurance companies that had financial problems. She has brought her financial acumen and process orientation to Moody Eyes since 2016, greatly improving our operations and profitability.

Penn’s Story

Penn Moody, OD, has practiced optometry for over 40-years. During that time, he has owned several practices and worked in a variety of patient care settings. In 2005 he established Moody Eyes, which has grown to multiple locations and increasing revenue. He brings a business ownership background with leadership, marketing, branding, and staff training expertise.


The Playbook Core 7

We have found that every business needs a “Core 7” of Subjects. These include the following:
  • Welcome to Our Business – your vision, mission, and information about your business
  • Our Policies – arrival times, dress code, PTO, etc.
  • Key Activities – these are the core activities of your business
  • Front Desk – this how your staff interacts with customers and prospects
  • Sales Process – every business has a way to present their services / products
  • Financial Flow – billing, collecting, tracking, and financial reports
  • Owners / Managers Responsibility – what happens if you or a manager can’t work


  • What will we do?
    • Transfer your documentation into Trainual
    • Buildout a very usable and engaging Playbook
    • Teach you how to add / modify content yourself
    • Help you assign Subjects and Roles to your staff members
  • What will you do?
    • Supply us with your current documentation
    • Provide your “brain dump” of processes you do not have documented
    • Provide us with photos / videos you want included
  • How long will it take?
    • We typically allow 90-days to complete, but this can vary depending on the following:
      • How much you already have documented
      • How quickly you respond to our requests for information / feedback
    • What if I want additional Subjects built out?
      • We recommend completing the Core 7 before we add additional content
      • We can help you build out more Subjects
    • What do I really get?
      • Peace of mind that your staff has a reference / training system
      • Confidence that you have documented processes for training / operations

Your Investment

A one-time fee of $2,850. If you spend over $300K / year on payroll & benefits, this is a very small investment in getting all of your staff going in the same direction, which will benefit your company more than you can imagine.
